About the Author

Caitlin grew up writing fictional short stories as part of her homeschool curriculum and for fun. She continued this pastime into adulthood when she wrote two fanfiction novels in her limited spare time. She loves everything outdoors, especially horses, and has two horses of her own. She draws heavily from her outdoor experiences of hiking, hunting, and horses in her writing. When not outside, her nose is constantly in a book.

Fantasy is her favorite genre, and she wishes that she could meet a real dragon. In the meantime she has settled for a fairy tale wedding where they got to ride off into the sunset.

What is your favorite food?

Steak and cheesecake! I always ask for it every Sunday, but my husband says that will break the bank…..

What is your favorite movie?

I absolutely LOVE the Hunt for Red October, but I am also slightly obsessed with Top Gun: Maverick. I may or may not have seen this movie 5 times in the theatre!

What is your favorite book?

Too many to count! I love the book Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross, and I also love The Lord of the Rings.

What book character would you like most to meet?

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, especially Raphael!

What is the weirdest job you have ever worked?

I have done taxidermy with my dad, which was a lot of fun and parking lot striping which was a lot of work, but also enjoyable.

Do you have any odd quirks?

I like to listen to music really loud, like shake the house loud. I also say the word “interesting” a lot because I think everything is interesting!

Any other weird or strange facts about you?

I am one of 30 first cousins (my dad has 9 siblings). I channel surf on a regular basis and do the same thing with books. I am usually reading 3-8 books at once.
